Tokomaru Boy Port Becomes idle

GISBORNE, Fri. (P.A.) .—Watersiders at Tokomaru Bay on the East Coast, have notified the shipping companies that no cargo will be worked at the port until their conflict with the Waterfront Control Commission is decided in their favour.

As a result, the Gisborne firm operating the Margaret W annuonced thaf no freight will be accepted at Auckland for discharge at Tokomaru Bay until further notice.

The embargo on loading meat into vessels from Tokomaru Bay wharf has been in effect for several weeks. The decision to handle no cargo of any description extends the dispute to other coastal vessels.
