Whareora Roll Of Honour Unveiled

A roll of honour containing 27 names of men from the Whareora-Hora Hora district who had served in both world wars was unveiled in the Whareora Public Hall on Wednesday night.

Funds were subscribed by residents of the district. In each of the wars one man made the supreme sacrifice—Private Eric Craig (1914-18' and Private Jack Easterbrook (1939-45).

After the unveiling ceremony, which was performed by Miv Alex Clarke, a dance was held.
