Yugoslavs Barricading Frontier With Austria
LONDON, Sun. (10.30 a.m.). —The Yugoslavs are feverishly erecting barriers on the majn roads crossing to Austria, according to Reuters Vienna correspondent. They have already slashed back trees for 500 feet along the entire length of the boundary, and erected wooden watch-towers at mile intervals.
In Belgrade today the news agency Tanjug said Yugoslav Defence Ministry officials told Marshal Tito that they would “unwaveringly continue to follow him and the central committee of the Communist Party.”
Czechoslovakia about a report in the Prague Communist newspaper Rudepravo that the freedom movement is being restricted in Yugoslavia. According to Tan jug, the Yugoslav Government regards the statement as "false and mischievous” and like other reports published frequently in the Czecn Press m the past few ways, does not contribute to' the development of brotherly and friendly relationships.” Borba, official organ of the Yugoslav Communist Party, today published an editorial strongly supporting Moscow's policy in Germany. "Russia s policy m Germany is championing the interests of peace and of the German people," Borba stated.
The agency earlier reported that Albania had denounced all existing agreements with Yugoslavia and had asked that all Yugoslav specialists leave Albania within 48 hours. Yugoslavia has sent a Note to Albania protesting and demanding an investigation ol' recent incidents. “Otherwise,” it adds, “the Yugoslav Government will not consider itself responsible for consequences which might arise."
