WHALE
LEVlN. —Heavy seas which have pounded the coast in the past three days washed a large whale ashore at Waitarere beach, Levin. It is believed to be a member of the sperm family and is 35ft long. Apparently it was dead when ’ washed ashore. Hundreds of people were attraijhed to the scene vjfiucday. (P.A.)
