Malayan Strikers Ejected Easily

SINGAPORE, Thu. (11 a.m.)—Three hundred troops stood by while 400 police ejected 79 labourers from among 1200 strikers at Klapa Bali and Lima Bias rubber estates, on the Slim River, 'North Selangor. Contrary to expectations, the ejections were carried out without incident.

Police escorted 54 Indians and 25 Chinese off the estates.

They seized several hundred cutting knives and other potential weapons from the remaining strikers.
