HANOVER.—Hanover is without newspapers because the printers have joined the strike of 75,000 workers in Lower Saxony against “inadequate food rations.”

Tramwaymen have also joined the strikers. Post office, electricity and gas workers have threatened to cease work on Monday. More than 30,000 workers arc also on strike in the American zone of Germany.
