THREE D.s
LONDON.—The qualities most weeded were the three D’s. the elder brothers of the three R’s, said the Queen yesterday in an address to 200 students at Queen’s College. London. These, she sai<J were:—* (1) Discernment —the ability to judge between the false and true.
(2) Decision the power to turn judgment into action.
(3) Design—the art of giving practical form to a plan of action. A right judgment in all things, Her Majesty added, was the ideal at which all could aim. but a knowledge of facts or events "was valueless if the mind were not sufficiently trained to understand them.
