Building Dispute

WELLINGTON, Wed. (P.A.)—When the Cabinet meets today to consider further developments in the carpenters' dispute it is expected to have before it a proposal to settle the dispute by the appointment of a tribunal under the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act.

The Cabinet probably will meet this afternoon, after the return from Christchurch of the Prime Minister (Mr Fraser).

An undertaking has been given to pass on its decision promptly to the New Zealand Federation of Labour.
