BOXING
HASTINGS.—A win on points was gained by Noel Fitzwater (Hastings), 9st 121 b, over Doug Waghorn (Palmerston North), lOst 31b, in an eight-round professional boxing bout at Hastings. There was little between the pair in the first five rounds, but in the sixth Fitzwater was down for the count tol nine, f and in the same round was saved by the gong at another count of seven. The decision was unpopular. * * *
