WELLINGTON. Sat. (P.A.).— The third young New Zealand doctor to die in tragic circumstances after ve;y brief• service at Kongchuen Hospital South China, Dr John Kirk Brown, aged 27. of Gore, died last Tuesday from severe encephalitis, states a cablegram received by Corso. Dr Brown, a senior house surgeon at Gisborne Hospital, volunteered last year for relief service in China, and was allotted by Corso to Kongchuen Hospital which was founded by the New Zealand Presbyterian Church and has always been largely staffed by New Zealanders. He had arrived at the hospital direct from New Zealand only a few days earlier.
