Refresher Course For Teachers

WELLINGTON, Fri. (P.A.) Commencing next Thursday a series of refresher courses for teachers will bo held in the South Island. A course for sole and head teachers of small country primary schools will be held in Dunedin, courses for postprimary commercial and geography teachers will be held at Oamaiu, and one for woodwork instructors at Christchurch. The courses will last one week. Similar courses for North Island teachers had been planned at Auckland and a Dominion course for arts and crafts specialists for Feildmg. However, it was officially stated today that it had been decided, following receipt of certain advice from the Health Department, to postpone the North Island courses. It is hoped, however, to hold the North Island courses at an early date.
