Amalgamation Of County Loans
Notice ofTnotion to propose amalgamation of all Whangarei County loans was given by the chairman of the council’s finance committee (Cr C. A. Lovell) at the meeting of the Whangarei County Council yesterday. In his opinion the move would benefit the greatest number of the ratepayers and he would support his claims when the matter came up for discussion at the next meeting. The staff was instructed to prepare a report of the amount of the loans held by each riding and the number and location of all the bridges over 20ft in length in the county.
