Princess Hopes To Visit’ Australia Soon
CANBERRA, Fri. (11 a.m.)—ln a letter to the Prime Minister (Mr Chifley), Princess Elizabeth said that she hoped, before long, to visit Australia.
The letter acknowledged a gift of silverware from the Government and people of Australia, and added: “My husband has visited Australia, of which he has the most pleasant memories, and I hope that it may not be long before I can visit the Commonwealth and myself learn to know its people.”
