TEACHERS

teachers’ training college is to be established at Ardmore. The chairman of the Auckland Education Board <Mr G. K. Hamilton) and officers of the board recently explained the scheme to the Mayor of Papakui'a., (Mr E. G. J. Busing) together with the town clerk (Mr A. L. Cooper) and a member of the borough council. Under the scheme Papakura School is to become a normal school and additions to the staff will be necessary to bring about the reduction of classes to not more than 35 pupils.—(Sq.).
