N.Z. Constitution Bill Passed By Lords
LONDON, Tue. (10 a.m.). —The House of Lords took through all its remaining stages and passed the New Zealand Constitution (Amendment) Bill.
The bill gives the New Zealand Government complete freedom to amend the Constitution according to its own wishes.

The Leader of the Opposition (the Marquis of Salisbury) said New Zealand had attained full maturity and was in all resppets a nation equal to Britain.
New Zealand was no longer in need of guidance. The Liberal leader (Viscount Samuel) said the House sent New Zealand a message not oyly of Britain’s respect but deep affection for the great Dominion.
