NEW YORK, Sun. (10 a.m.).— One of the United States’ oldest citizens, “Aunt Martha” Payne, a negress died yesterday at Lunchburg, Virginia.

Her age was estimated between 125 and 127. She remembered until a few weeks ago events long before the American Civil Wars and was able to sew and perform other work without glasses.
