Premiers Of Three Stales Plan Steps

ight Bank Bill

MELBOURNE, Mon. (11.30 a.m.) Plans to defeat the Federal Government’s attempts at a banking monopoly which the Premiers of Victoria, South Australia and West Australia hope to make at a conference in Melbourne today, will make history, according to the Premier of Victoria (Mr Hollway). The Premier of West Australia (Mr McLarty) reached Melbourne yesterday by air and has had preliminary talks with Mr Hollway and the Victorian Attorney-General. Mr McLarty says he has an open mind on what should be done, but will not forget that the Parliament of West Australia has given him a brief to fight nationalisation to the last ditch.
