Demand In London
LONDON. Fri. (11.30 a.m.).—The wool sales were continued today with offerings totalling 26.689 bales, ol' which 23,372 were sold. New Zealand submitted 8651 bales and Australia 14,617. Demand for greasy crossbreds and best Merinos was well maintained, and they sold readily at firm prices, but slipes were occasionally in buyers' favour. The selection generally was moderate and there were low-grade withdrawals owing to shippers’ high limits.
