TYPHOID'
NEW PLYMOUTH. — Two cases of typhoid fever have | been reported in Taranaki,, one at Straffoi'd-antrsne at New Plymouth. The case at Stratford is a three-year-old child who recently/ arrived with its parents from Australia. . The medical officer of health for Taranaki (Dr E. W. Kinsey) said the child becameiill and the illness was,-' diagnosed on November 8 at Stratford. Infection undoubtedly took place in Australia. He added that two or three cases normally occurred in Taranaki each year.— (P.A.) ■
