WELLINGTON TECHNICAL COLLEGE COMMERCIAL TEACHERSTRAINING COURSE MPHE Wellington Technical College, A at the request of the Education Department, is instituting a Training Course for Commercial Teachers, and invites applications for enrolment from persons suitably qualified. Applicants should already have had some experience in office or commercial work. (1) Those with good experience in Shorthand and Typewriting will be I given instruction in Book-keeping and Commercial Practice —and (2) Those with experience in Bookkeeping or Accountancy will be given instruction in Shorthand and Typewriting. All trainees will be given instruction in teaching method. Male applicants should preferably be between 25 and 30 yeai-s of age, and female applicants between 21 and 30 years. The period of training will extend over one academic year. During the period, trainees will be paid at the following rates: Men, £3ll per annum; Women, £277 per annum. In addition, married salary of £SO per annum will be paid to trainees eligible to receive it. On completion of the course, it is expected that trainees will find little difficulty in receiving appointments in post-primary schools, or in the secondary departments of district high schools.

Full details of conditions, and application forms, may be obtained from the Principal, Wellington Technical College, or from the Director of Education, Education Department, Wellington. Applications should be lodged as soon as possible, but not later than October 31, at the Wellington Technical College, and a copy sent to the Director of Education, Education Department, Wellington.
