Dairy Board Nominee

(P.A.) INVERCARGILL, This Day. A unanimous decision to support the candidature of Mr J. McKenzie, of Seaward Downs, for the vacancy on the New Zealand Dairy Board caused by the appointment of Mr W. G. Macartney, of Christchurch, to the Dairy Produce Marketing Commission, was made at’ a representative meeting of Southland dairy factories yesterday. Mr McKenzie .is chairman of directors of the Seaward Downs Dairy Factory Company, a director of the New Zealand Cooperative Marketing Association, and a director of the South Island Dairy Association.’ The opinion that there was no necessity for any Government representation 6n the Dairy Board received unanimous support.
