Large Loco Order
One of the largest orders the British loco building industry has received for a considerable time has just been placed by Indian railways. The order is for 300 heavy Pacific type locos, and is valued at nearly £6,000‘000.
The building of these locos is to start in Autumn 1949, and deliveries will be made in the following year.
