Rush For 'Wrong Shortland' Stamps
(Rec. 11.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. An avalanche of applications for the “wrong Shortland” stamp, issued to commemorate Newcastle’s sesquicentenary has swent into Newcastle Post Office since discovery of the error. However the Postmaster-General (Senator Cameron) 'does not agree that it is the wrong Shortland. A special staff has been engaged to handle the applications.
