Singapore Fire

(Rec. 10.0 a.m.) SINGAPORE. Sept. 4. Five Chinese—three adults and two children—were found burned to death on the top floor of a two-storey building in a poor tenament area in Singapore when fire gutted the building today. Two more children died and one was seriously injured as a,result of panicstricken residents tossing them from windows 35ft to the roadway. The child who survived was caught by a bystander as she fell.
