Union members who attended a special general meeting state that contributions were refused in protest against the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act Amendment Bill; against the recent Arbitration Court wages pronouncement; against no concession to trade union requests for worker representation on the Price Tribunal; and the Government’s failure to invoke quotas for industry.
