Reduced August Rainfall At Kaitaia
(Special.) KAITAIA, This'Day. Although rain fell on 16 days at Kaitaia during August, the total fall ivas only 3.49 in, compared with 10.29 in for the same month last year, according to figures supplied by Mr J. Knox. The month’s average is 5.46 in. To date this year Kaitaia’s rainfall has totalled 35.94 in, compared with 59.67 for the corresponding period last year, and an average for the same period of 39.13 in.
Kaitaia weather on Monday was overcast and mild after a fine weekend. but yesterday was showery, with a half-gale from the south-west and renewed wintry atmosphere.
