The frontier mail train, running from Bombay to Peshawar, was, attacked and set on fire at Khanna station, between Ambala and Ludhiana, East Punjab. One first-class compartment was burnt out and one person killed. A goods train, carrying employees of the Pakistan Government and their baggage, was attacked and burnt at Bahadurgarh station, 20 miles from New Delhi.
