Level Of industry In German Zones

The Minister of Information <M. Pierre Bourdan) disclosed that the measure of agreement reached at the London talks between British, American and French delegates on the level of industry in the Anglo-American zone of Germany was far below what had been hoped. It is believed that a joint communique will be published on Friday.
Meantime, it is learned that the French delegation made reservations, firstly on the management and control of German coalminbs; secondly, on figures fixed for the level of leacling German industries, including machine tool and chemical • industries, and finally, that the assurances given to the French in London that the raising of the German industrial level should not result Jin giving German reconstruction priority over that of democratic countries in Europe as a whole, were felt to be too vague.
