Legation Officials Deny Threat's
(Rec. 11.30 a.m.) CAIRO, Aug. 26. According to a police statement, the Brazilian and Chinese Ministers to Egypt received letters containing assassination threats because of their countries’ attitude in the Security Council to Egypt's case against Britain. Extra guards and detectives have been posted at the two legations. Officials at both legations said they knew nothing about the threatening letters.
Special guards were posted at other legations and embassies' as violent demonstrations were forecast against Britain, the United States and other western Powers.
