U.S. Representative To Conifer With Pope
(Rec. 1.30.1 WASHINGTON. Aug. 15. President Truman’s personal representative at the Vatican (Mr Myron Taylor) is going to Rome to confer with the Pope on world peace. The White House, in announcing this today, said Mr Taylor will discuss “problems relative to the establishment of peace under a moral world order and alleviation of human suffering still continuing in many parts of the world.” The announcement added that Mr Taylor would confer with other European leaders on the same subject in order to gather views and impressions for the guidance and assistance of Mr Truman.
