British Films May Be Made in N.Z.
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. British film units are likely soon to begin big-scale production in New Zealand, according to the British film actress Doreen Moore, who arrived in Wellington on the Rangitiki yesterday.
Miss Moore, who is manned to a former New Zealand naval officer, is visiting the Dominion. She said British producers appreciated that New Zealand was an almost perfect location for the production ol films.
The climate was sufficiently good to enable films to be shot all the year round, whereas in Britain it was sometimes difficult to ensure continuity of film production because of the variable weather. She added that this did not mean that the films would be of a New Zealand flavour.
British settings could adequately be produced in the Dominion.
