Maori Tour Of Fiji Abandoned
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day.
The Maori Rugby football tour of Fiji has been abandoned owing to shipping difficulties. The management committee of the New Zealand Rugby. Union yesterday decided to arrange a three weeks’ tour within New Zealand, the tour providing for seven games by the Maoris.
Unions are to be circularised to ascertain what dates would be available for matches. It was said that the Maori team would be particularly strong and fully capable of extending the best provincial side.
