Auckland Trams Short Of Staff
P.A.) , AUCKLAND, This Day. Elimination of Sunday morning tram services and part of the Sunday evening services is under consideration by the Auckland Transport Board because of the shortage of tram crews. The board has deferred decision until it obtains the view of the Tramway Workers’ Union on lifting the union ban on the employment of women conductors on a temporary basis.
The board has 106 vacancies on the traffic staff.
