Kamo Re-Valuation Affects Rates

The effect of the recent re-valuation, with considerable enhancement of property value, is reflected in the rates struck for the current year by the Kamo Town Board last night. Except for the hospital levy, which is based on the old valuation, all rates were based on the, new valuation which took place recently. Next year the hospital levy will be based on the new valuation and an increase of Id is expected. Rates this year, with last year’s in brackets, are as follows.—Consolidated rate 4d <B|d>, including 3d general rate (sd), ,?d hospital rate (3d) and library ,',d (.Id). The Town Clerk, Mr R. Whitelaw, stated that a larger pump and motor will shortly be installed at the Kamo waterworks.
