Old Boys Day Tomorrow
Tomorrow is Old Boys day in Whangarei Rugby. The club is celebrating its silver jubilee and all teams are playing at Rugby Park. The seniors are opposed to the championship leaders, Mid-Western, in the principal attraction on No. 1 ground. On No. 2. City and Central are expected to turn on bright football. Hikurangi travel to Whangaruru in the I other game which opens the second | round. The Old Boys-High School junior match, as the curtain-raiser on No. 2. should be an exciting encounter. A good bill is offered in Rugby League football at Jubilee Park. Takahiwai and City meet in the senior grade arrd this match is precoded by what should be an outstanding exhibition of the code between the Portland juniors and Point Chevalier. from Auckland. Hockey matches for junior boys are to be played at Kensington Park in the morning and in the afternoon, matches in the four championships will take place at headquarters and on country grounds. Mt Denby and Whau Valley golfers have their respective club competi- : tions and basketballers will be out for I their weekly games.
