For the last five years a clerk in a Government department in Melbourne has dreamed a clue to the winner of the Melbourne Cup; Australia’s Derby: 1942—Dreamed Jerry Colonna, Hollywood comedian, shook hands with him the day before the race. Winner: Colonus, an outsider. 1943_Woke one morning thinking of a girl in a pink and black dress. Winner: Dark Felt, colours, pink and black. 1944 Dreamed several times about the Dog Star. Winner: Sirius. 1945 Dreamed that he went up and down several times in a lift which stopped each time at the fourth floor. Winner: Rainbird, No. 4. 1946 Dreamed Jockey Darby Munro rode the winner. Winner: Russia, Munro up. “My dreams are getting better every time,” he said. “I was so confident of a win this year that I bought a ticket in a sweepstake and won a quarter share in a £50,000 prize.”
