(Special) HAMILTON, This Day. Auckland beat. Waikato by 20 points to 9 in a Rugby match played here yesterday. Auckland led by 5 points to 2 at halt-time. The weather was ideal. In the first spell the bustling tactic,s if (he home pack had Auckland worried but alter settling down the Auckland pack played well. The Auckland backs, except for a few individuals, wore not so impressive. Boggs (2), Dons and C. McDonald scored tries for Auckland, O'Callaghan converting each try. For Waikato Brunskill and K. Drabble scored tries and Brunskill kicked a penalty goal.
