Many Mines Still In Q'Land Waters
(Rcc. 11.30 a.m.) SYDNEY. This Day
There were still many mines off the Queensland coast said Captain R. V. Wheatley, of HMAS Swan, commanding officer of the 20th Minesweeping Flotilla which has returned to Sydney after being fur monthe employed in lifting minefields. He could not estimate how many mines were left. In waters round the Great Barrier Raef the flotilla swept 900 mines.
