State Department Praised Wallace

(1.30 p.m.) WASHINGTON, April 25. Senator George (Democrat, Georgia) told the Senate that the State Department broadcast to Russia on Wednesday included laudatory reference to Mr Henry Wallace. He added: “I wonder if the State Department’s right hand knows what its left hand is doing.”

Senator George declared: “No more untimely broadcast could have been made at a time when Mr Wallace is seeking to divide the citizens of Britain and France from our own people.” The broadcast had dealt with a review of a book “The Three Wallaces.”
