Six Nominated For Commission

(P.A.) WELLINGTON. This Day. Six nominations, from which three will become the dairy industry's representatives on the New Zealand Dairy Commission, have been submitted by the Dairy Conference to the Government. The nominees arc: Messrs IT. E. Blyde. of Lcpperlon. Taranaki, president and chairman of the dairy section of the Federated Farmers; V/. G. McCartney. of Taitapu; IT. A. Candy, of Bay of Plenty; A. G. Alexander, of Waikato; A. J. Sinclair, of To Awamutu; E. G. Appleton, of Dargavillc. The conference was unanimous on the choice of this panel of names. It is mentioned in dairy industry circles that Mr W. Marshall, of Waikato. may be nominated as chairman of the commission. The agreement for the setting up of the commission provides that the chairman will be appointed on the nomination of the Minister after consultation with the Dairy Board.
