New Wool Fabrics
(Rec. 11 a.m.) CANBERRA, This Day. Soft woollen fabrics, weighing only two ounces a yard, with a silken lustre finish, were now being prepared for world consumption, but at a price well above" utility woollen materials, said the chairman of the International Wool Secretariat (Dr Edgar Booth). The new fabrics would be warm in winter and cool in summer.

(P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board advises that wether and ewe schedules in the North Island will be increased by l-8d per lb. as from Monday April 21. The increase is accounted for by increased wool growth.
