(Rec. 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, April 18. Seven planes are searching for a Halifax bomber, with a crew of nine, which this morning flew from Aldergove, Northern Ireland, out over the Atlantic to get a weather report. The Halifax’s petrol was due to run out by 4 p.m., but the plane had not been found when darkness fell. Destroyers are standing by to rescue the survivors if located.
