Marital Conciliation Plan For NSW

(Rec. 11.0 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The State Attorney-General (Mr C. E. Martin) said that one of the most alarming features of modern life was the grievous increase in the divorce rate.

He reported progress in a scheme of marital conciliaticn. based on the New Zealand system, which he hoped to introduce into New South Wales.. The directive staff would consist of three or four highly-trained personnel. assisted by volunteers, at least SCO of whom would be needed. Conciliation would begin long before the courts were approached for maintenance or divorce.
