Reporting on private ■ sales transacted during the .week, the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd, advised that fat and forward Heifers had changed hands at £ll/5/-; good quality 2>/ a -year Hereford steers sold at £10; fat and forward Polled Angus and Hereford bullocks made £l4/5/- to £l7; 18-month Hereford steers realised £5/5/-; Romney rams were sold at 6 gns.

Ai Mangamuka Bridge, Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd, offered a full yarding comprised mostly store and boner cattle. Boners sold freely, maintaining late rates.

In the pig section a capacity yarding came forward and realisations were on a par with recent quotations.
