Move For Centra! German Government
(Rec. 11.15 a-m.i LONDON, Mar. IG. Tiie Germans are making their first organised effort to restore a central government to Germany, says the British United Press Berlin correspondent.
Leaders of the Christian Democratic Union from all occupation zones agreed yesterday at Berlin to form a committee to lay the groundwork for a central government. The two Opposition leaders —the head of the Socialist Unity Party (Wilhelm Pieck), and Wilhelm Kueltz, of the Liberal Democrats —attended. Pieck's presence is believed to indicate that the Russians approve of the move. *•
