Heavy Cuts Made Yesterday
Power cuts throughout the North Island yesterday were widespread and unprecedented.
Indications are that the restrictions will become more severe and disconnections more frequent. The cuts were particularly heavy in the Auckland and Waitemata areas.
A general load reduction of 5 per cent was imposed yesterday on the rest of the North Island.
