Effect Of C.O. Teachers Osi Pupils

• Special) NEW PLYMOUTH. This Day Conscientious objectors could have a very bad influence on pupils, said the president of the New Plymouth Returned Services' Association (Mr M. J. T. Fraser) last night, when criticising the recent action of. the New Plymouth High Schools Board in asking for the annulment of regulations which prohibit objectors from teaching in schools. Mr Fraser expressed “immense surprise" that the headmaster of the school. Mr G. ,T. McNaught. should have suggested the revocation of the regulations. Dr G. H. Thompson said he considered Mr McNaught above all criticism. He had been a fine soldier m both world wars. When suggestions were made that Mr McNaught should be approached before any action was taken by the RSA. Mi- Fraser said it was to the board's policy that the association objected.
