Free Library On May 1
Arrangements for the change over oi the V/hangarci Public Library to the nee library service were placed before the Borough Council last night by the library committee. The committee recommended that two I see books should be allotted to each person: that a guarantor snouid be required to sign for each intending child borrower; that additional magazines should br procured; and that the date tor the commencement of the new scheme should be May 1. It. also recommended that the chairjean iMr R. S. Finch) should be complimented on the manner in which he had put Jorv.ard the proposed free library scheme to the legal and finance committee. All the recommendations were adopted.
