IOOF Picnic
Two bus loads, of Star of WhangaI rei and Aloha Rebekah Lodge members. their families and friends, held their annual picnic at Clapham’s farm, Whareora. on Saturday February 22. Arrangements were in the hands of Sis. Howson, Roberts and Tucker and Bros Woodgate, Kendall and Tucker. The children were very well catered for with ice cream, sweets and j fruit. The fortnightly meetinjg’of the Star of Whangarei Lodge. No. 89. lOOF. N.Z. was held in the lodge room. Vinery Lane Hall, on Tuesday. Bro. T. Kendall, N.G. presided over an attendance' of 32 members. An initiation ceremony was staged, two new members being initiated and welcomed. Visitors were present from Pride of Bargaville Lodge, and Bro. Forbes, a Degee Master from Auckland, addressed the lodge.
