7,000,000 Tons In New Ohoi Mine

(From Our Special Correspondent) WELLINGTON, This Day. Further details of the new state coal mine to be developed in the Morley area, near Ohai, Southland, show that the deposits already proved by bores approximate 7,000,000 tons. There is one seam 12ft thick and another of 30ft, the bottom seam being about 800 ft below the surface. Both seams can be worked from dips. The site is handy to road and rail and it is expected that preliminary development can be completed expeditiously.
